Remove the double passenger seat.

Remove the head restraints. | | | -
Remove the head restraint guides. - Turn the guides one-fourth turn counterclockwise.
- Remove the guides.

Detach the rear of the backrest cover from the underside of the seat. | Vehicles with seat mounted safety belt retractors | | -
CAUTION:The bolt securing the safety belt anchor is held captive by a paper washer. The bolt, spacer and paper washer must remain on the safety belt at all times when the safety belt is detached or removed. Detach the centre belt safety belt lower anchor from the underside of the seat. | | | -
CAUTION:The bolt securing the safety belt anchor is held captive by a paper washer. The bolt, spacer and paper washer must remain on the safety belt at all times when the safety belt is detached or removed. Detach the safety belt upper anchor. - Remove the cover.
- Remove the bolt.

Remove the safety belt upper anchor cover. - Feed the safety belt through the cover.

Detach the backrest cover side panels from the underside of the seat. | | | -
Detach the front of the backrest cover from the underside of the seat. | | | -
Remove the backrest cover. - Roll the backrest cover upwards to access the pleating hog rings.
- Cut the hog rings.

NOTE:Use hog ring pliers to close the hog rings. Do not use any other tool. The hog rings must be closed to overlap as illustrated. To assemble, reverse the disassembly procedure. | Vehicles with seat mounted safety belt retractors |
