5. NOTE: The brake tubes must be installed in the same position and orientation as removed.
Disconnect the brake tube fittings at the master cylinder. Loosen the master cylinder brake tube fittings at the Hydraulic Control Unit (HCU) to
allow the brake tubes to move without being damaged.
6. Install short brake tubes onto the primary and secondary ports with the ends submerged in a container partially filled with clean, specified brake
fluid.
7. Have an assistant pump the brake pedal until clear fluid flows from the brake tubes without air bubbles.
8. Remove the short brake tubes, and install the master cylinder brake tubes.

Tighten the brake tube fittings to 23 Nm (17 lb-ft).
9. Position the BJB and engage the locking tab.
10. Tighten the BJB mounting screw.
11. Position the battery ground cable and install the bolt.

Tighten the bolt to 10 Nm (89 lb-in).
