Balance Shaft: Service and Repair

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION

  1. Remove timing cover and timing chain.

2. Remove balance shaft thrust plate, then balance shaft from front of engine, ensuring not to damage bearings.
3. Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Lubricate balance shaft bearing journals with suitable lubricant.
