Alternator: Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Check the alternator pulley (10344) for looseness on the alternator rotor shaft and for cracks or other damage. Replace any alternator pulley that is
loose, cracked or bent.

Check the front and rear housings for cracks, particularly in the webbed areas at the mounting ear. Replace a damaged or cracked housing.
