Handle, Outside Door

Front

Removal and Installation

1. Remove the access hole cover and/or trim pane and pull away the watershield, if equipped.

2. Disconnect door latch actuator rod from front door latch (21812).

3. Using a piece of wood, prop open door outside handle.

4. Drill out the two rivets retaining outside door handle (22404) to front door (20124) and remove door handle from front door.

5. To install reverse Removal procedure.

Body Side

Removal and Installation

1. Remove the access hole cover and trim panel and pull away the watershield if equipped.

2.

Disconnect door body side door latch actuating rod from clip.

3. Remove two nuts retaining door handle and remove door handle from body side door (24622).

4. To install reverse Removal procedure. Tighten retaining nuts to 8-11 Nm (71-97 lb-in).
