License Plate Bracket - Damaged/Bent/Distorted/Warped

BODY - LICENSE PLATE BRACKET - DAMAGED, BENT, DISTORTED AND/OR WARPED - VEHICLES BUILT THROUGH 12/8/96

LIGHT TRUCK: 
1995-97 WINDSTAR

ISSUE: 
The front license plate bracket may become distorted, bent, damaged and/or warped on some vehicles. This may be caused by inadequate support to the
license plate bracket.

ACTION: 
Install a revised license plate bracket to reduce the possibility of damage. Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Mark the holes on the underside of the bumper cover for the new License Plate Bracket (F78Z-17A385-AAA) and drill two (2) 6.5 mm holes.

2.

Attach the bracket at the bottom using the two (2) rivets supplied with the new bracket Hardware Kit (F78Z-17A386-BA).

3.

Reattach the plate using the screws provided in the Hardware Kit.
