AIR CONDITIONING - UNWANTED AIRFLOW FROM A/C VENTS

LIGHT TRUCK: 
1996-98 WINDSTAR

ISSUE
There may be improper airflow from vents and/or the vent mode door may bind on some vehicles. This may be caused by interference between the 
evaporator case baffle and vent mode door.

ACTION
Remove material from the baffle. Removing the material should reduce the possibility of the vent mode door binding against the evaporator case baffle.
Refer to the following Service Procedure for details.

SERVICE PROCEDURE

1.

Verify concern.

2.

Remove the instrument panel following procedures outlined in the appropriate Windstar Service Manual.
