Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Pinpoint Tests
Description
Diagnostic trouble codes are:

P0707: TR circuit below minimum voltage.

P0708: TR circuit above maximum voltage.
-
P1705: TR not in PARK.
Note:
This pinpoint test is designed to diagnose the Transmission Range (TR) sensor electrical system ONLY.
To prevent replacement of good components, note that the following areas may be of concern:

Engine-starter motor, starter relay.
-
Electrical-battery, ignition switch, wiring harnesses.
-
Transaxle-internal transaxle components, linkages.
This pinpoint test is designed to diagnose the following components:

Transaxle wiring harness, transmission range sensor, signal return.

Powertrain control module.
