1.
Deactivate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG DEACTIVATION.
2.
Disconnect battery ground cable.
3.
Raise and support vehicle, then disconnect sensor electrical connector. Fig. 316.
4.
Remove three mounting bolts and sensor from radiator support brace.
5.
Reverse procedure to install, noting the following:
a. Install sensor with arrow pointing toward front of vehicle.
b. Torque sensor mounting bolts to 97 inch lbs.
c. Following installation, activate airbag system as described under MAINTENANCE PROCEDURES/AIRBAG ACTIVATION.
d. Turn ignition switch to the On position and verify the ``Inflatable Restraint'' indicator flashes 7 to 9 times then turns Off. If indicator does not
respond, refer to DIAGNOSIS AND TESTING PROCEDURE/TESTING PROCEDURES/RETRIEVING TROUBLE CODES.
