Accumulator: Service and Repair
4L60-E Automatic Transmission
REMOVAL PROCEDURE
1. Remove the bolts attaching the cover and pin to the transmission case.
2. Remove the cover and pin.
3. Remove the piston, ring, and springs. The piston and ring may remain inside the cover and pin.
4. Remove the control valve, if replacing the 3-4 accumulator. Refer to Control Valve Assembly.
5. Remove the spring, piston, ring, and pin.
6. Inspect the accumulators.
