Interim 1999 Model Year Oil Filter Change
Models:
1999 Chevrolet and GMC C/K, G and P Models
with 7.4 L Engine (VIN J RPO L29)
A new oil filter was installed interim 1999 model year on all 7.4 L (L29) engines beginning in mid-May. The PF454 filter will replace the PF1218 oil
filter. Vehicles built with the PF1218 filter will continue to be serviced with this filter. The new filter has improved media material providing comparable
filtration in a smaller package allowing the elimination of the oil filter adapter.
