Radiator Hose: Service and Repair
Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement
Radiator Inlet Hose Replacement (LLV - 2.9L, LLR - 3.7L)
Tools Required
J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers
Removal Procedure
1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service
and Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair).
2. Using J 38185 reposition the inlet radiator hose clamp (2) away from the radiator.
3. Remove the inlet radiator hose from the radiator.
4. Using J 38185 reposition the inlet radiator hose clamp (1) away from the engine.
5. Remove the inlet radiator hose from the engine.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the inlet radiator hose to the engine.
2. Using J 38185 reposition the inlet radiator hose clamp (1) to the engine.
3. Install the inlet radiator hose to the radiator.
4. Using J 38185 reposition the inlet radiator hose clamp (2) to the radiator.
5. Fill the cooling system. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling (Static Fill) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and
Repair)Cooling System Draining and Filling (Vac N Fill) (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Service and Repair).
