Wheel Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

REMOVAL PROCEDURE 

1. Raise vehicle.
2. Remove tire and wheel. Refer to Wheel Removal.
3. Remove brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement (Front Wheel).
4. Remove the hub and rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement (Front Wheel).
5. Remove wheel speed sensor cable electrical connector.
6. Remove wire mounting clips from the upper control arm. 
7. Remove wheel speed sensor and splash shield assembly.
8. Remove the clips for the sensor wire.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURE 

1. Install clips on sensor wire. Locate clips at the paint spots on the sensor wire.
2. Install wheel speed sensor and splash shield.
3. Install wheel speed sensor cable electrical connector.
4. Install the hub and rotor. Refer to Brake Rotor Replacement (Front Wheel).
5. Install brake caliper. Refer to Brake Caliper Replacement (Front Wheel).
6. Install tire and wheel. Refer to Wheel Installation.
