Fill the master cylinder reservoirs with brake fluid (see Parts Information) and maintain fluid level in reservoir during bleeding operation.

Remove front brake hoses and replace, being careful not to actuate brakes and introduce air into brake system.
A.
Disconnect hose at wheel cylinder and discard the two washers.
B.
Disconnect brake tube from hose assembly at bracket on upper control arm.
C.
Remove retainer clip and remove and discard old brake hose.
D.
Installation of new hose is reverse of removal. When replacing hose, use two new washers at wheel cylinder.

If it is known that the master cylinder does not contain air, bleed the front wheel cylinders and calipers only.
5.
Bleed the right front wheel first.
6.
Attach a hose to the wheel cylinder/caliper bleeder screw. Immerse the opposite end into a container partially filled with clean brake fluid.
A.
Slowly depress the brake pedal one time and hold.
B.
Loosen the bleeder screw to purge air from the wheel cylinder/caliper.
C.
Tighten the bleeder screw and slowly release the pedal.
D.
Wait 15 seconds and repeat this sequence, including the 15 second wait, until all the air is purged from the wheel cylinder/caliper.
7.
Continue procedure at left front wheel.
8.
Check the brake pedal for sponginess and the brake warning lamp for an indication of an unbalanced pressure. Repeat the entire bleeding
procedure to correct either of these two conditions.

should be ordered from GMSPO on a C.I.O. order with no special instruction code but order under an advise code (2).

Each label provides a space to include the five (5) digit dealer code of the dealer peforming the campaign service. This information may be inserted with
a typewriter or ball point pen. Each "Campaign Identification Label" is to be located on the radiator core support in an area which will be visible when
the vehicle is brought in for periodic servicing by the owner. Apply "Campaign Identification Label" only on a clean, dry surface.
