Condenser HVAC: Service and Repair
Condenser
REMOVE OR DISCONNECT
1. Battery ground cable.
2. Refrigerant from the system.
3. Grille assembly.
4. Radiator grille center support.
5. Left grille support to upper fender support (2) screws.
6. Condenser inlet (21) and outlet (22).
^ Cap or plug all open connections.
7. Condenser to radiator support screws (23).
8. Brackets (24).
9. Upper insulators (25).
10. Condenser (A) by pulling it upward.
^ Bend the left grille support outboard to gain clearance for the condenser removal.
11. Lower insulators (26).
INSTALL OR CONNECT
1. Lower insulators (26).
2. Condenser (A).
^ Add 0.028 kg (1 oz.) of clean 525 viscosity refrigeration oil to the condenser.
3. Upper insulators (25).
4. Brackets (24).
5. Condenser to radiator support screws (23).
6. Condenser inlet (21) and outlet (22) lines.
^ Dip the seals in clean 525 viscosity refrigeration oil.
^
Tighten connections to 17 Nm (13 ft. lbs.).
7. Left grille support to the upper fender support screws.
8. Radiator grille center support.
9. Grille assembly.
10. Battery ground cable.
11. Refrigerant to the system.
^ Leak test.
