Vehicle Speed Sensor: Service and Repair

Vehicle Speed Sensor Locations
REMOVAL
1. Raise the vehicle and support it with suitable safety stands.
2. Remove connector.
3. Remove bolt or screw.
4. Remove speed sensor.

Have a suitable container to catch fluid.
5. Remove O-ring seal.
INSTALLATION
1. Install new speed sensor and O-ring seal.

Coat the seal with a thin film of transmission fluid.
2. Install bolt or screw.

Torque bolt to 12 Nm (9 lbs ft).
-
Torque Speed Sensor to 43 Nm (32 lbs ft).
3. Install harness connector.
