APPARENT "CRACK" IN POWER STEERING PUMP PULLEY
MODELS:
1987-89 C/K, S/T, R/V AND G/M VANS
The presence of a gap in the grooved section of the power steering pump pulley (See Illustration), may be misdiagnosed as a crack. The pulley is
designed and manufactured with a provision for the gap to be present and has no negative effects on the accessory drive system.
A gap width of up to 1 mm should be considered normal. A power steering pump pulley should not be replaced due to the presence of the gap.
