4. Remove the coolant housing bolts, coolant housing, and the thermostat from the lower intake manifold.
5. Remove the coolant temperature sensor from the lower intake manifold.
CLEAN AND INSPECT
Clean any foreign debris from the following parts:

The gasket surfaces
^
The intake passages of the intake manifold
^
The coolant passages of the intake manifold
^
The EGR passages
Assemble
UPPER
1. Install the throttle body studs.
^
Tighten the studs to 12 Nm (106 inch lbs.).
2. Install the throttle body gasket.
3. Install the throttle body.
