(Notification Used By Chevrolet Motor Division)
Dear Chevrolet Owner:
General Motors has determined that certain 1985 Chevrolet "S/T" Light Duty Trucks equipped with a 2.8L V6 (B) engine code, automatic transmission
and California emissions system were built without a "Torque Converter Clutch (TCC)" wiring harness.
The omission of a "Torque Converter Clutch (TCC)" wiring harness will not allow the torque converter clutch to engage. This can cause excessive heat
build up which may result in premature transmission failure.
To correct this condition, when required, please contact your Chevrolet dealer to arrange a service date to install the missing Torque Converter Clutch
wiring harness and associated parts on your vehicle. This service will be performed at no charge to you.
