Oil Pan Replacement

OIL PAN REPLACEMENT

-

A one-piece type oil pan gasket is used.

Remove or Disconnect

1. Negative battery cable.

Raise the vehicle and support with suitable safety stands.

-

Drain the engine oil.

2. Oil filter.
3. Oil cooler lines from oil pan and from adapter.
4. Oil filter adapter.
5. Starter.
6. Starter shield.
7. Transmission oil cooler lines.
8. Front drive axle tube nuts.
9. Lower drive axle bushing bolt (left).

10. Rubber bell housing plugs.
11. Oil pan bolts and studs.

12. Oil pan and gasket.

Clean

-

Gasket surfaces on the engine and oil pan.

Inspect

-

Oil pan gasket for damage. Replace the gasket if necessary.

Install or Connect
