REPLACEMENT INSTRUCTIONS:
(Figures 1 and 2).
1.
Remove the instrument panel lower extension.
2.
Remove the engine cover and heater duct.
3.
Remove the passenger side instrument panel trim panel.
4.
Remove heater A/C duct.
5.
Remove relay bracket, instrument mounting bracket and instrument panel metal plate located on RH side between heater and kick panel.
6.
Disconnect and pull out the temperature control assembly from the dash.
7.
Disconnect both ends of existing temperature control cable, pull through two clips and discard.
8.
Install new cable through clips and connect both ends (to control assembly and temperature door lever).
9.
Remove the shipping spacer on the cable assembly and discard.
10.
Move the control lever to maximum cold. This adjusts the temperature control door properly.
11.
Slide the mechanical lock on the cable assembly against the adjustable shell to maintain the correct temperature door position. Once the
mechanical lock is in position, it cannot be moved.
12.
Reverse procedure to reinstall removed parts, other than cable.
