SUBJECT:
SEAT BELT EXTENSION AFTER PROLONGED CHILD SEAT USAGE
MODELS:
1989-1990 M/L PASSENGER VANS EQUIPPED WITH BENCH SEATS (RPO's ZP5 AND ZP8)
Some 1989-90 M/L van owners may experience, on a temporary basis, the inability to pull out (extend) the right hand intermediate seat lap belt after the
seat belt is used to retain a child seat for an extended period of time without periodically cycling (retracting and extending) the belt. To prevent this
condition from reoccurring, it is necessary to replace the seat belt assembly with an internally modified (shortened pendulum nib height) belt assembly.
There is no visual difference between the existing and revised seat belt assembly. Part numbers have been changed to identify the revised assemblies.
