1990 L VANS EQUIPPED WITH AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS
During major component removal, a separator tool should be used to remove and replace the transmission oil cooler inlet and outlet pipe lines from the
quick connect fittings located at the radiator on the above subject vehicles.
Figure No. 1
Because access is limited to the transmission oil cooler inlet and outlet fittings at the radiator, fitting removal from the radiator is difficult. (See Figure
1). Use of a separator tool allows easier removal of the pipe cooler lines and aids in preventing possible pipe cooler line fitting damage. Kent-Moore has
available a fuel line quick connect separator currently used in the automobile industry that may be utilized for removal and replacement of the
transmission oil cooler pipes on 1990 L vans equipped with automatic transmissions.
