Savana 1/2 Ton Van V8-5.7L VIN R (2001)
1. Route the hose in the same position the hose occupied prior to removal.
2. Smoothly route the hose in order to avoid sharp bends and kinking.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
3. Install the power brake booster inlet hose (1) to the power brake booster (2).

Tighten the hose fitting to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
4. Install the power steering inlet hose (2) to the steering pump (1).

Tighten the hose fitting to 27 Nm (20 ft. lbs.).
5. Check the power steering fluid level. Refer to Checking and Adding Power Steering Fluid.
6. Remove the drain pan from under the vehicle.
7. Bleed the power steering system. Refer to Bleeding the Power Steering system.

Removal Procedure
Notice: Refer to Power Steering Hose Disconnected Notice in Service Precautions.
1. Install a drain pan under the vehicle.
2. Siphon the power steering fluid from the reservoir to prevent excessive spillage.
3. Remove the power brake booster outlet hose (1) from the power brake booster (2).
