Wheelhouse Splash Shield Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the front passenger side tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation   (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair

).

Remove the push pin retainers (1) retaining the splash shield (3) to the wheelhouse.

2. Remove the bolt (2) retaining the splash shield (3) to the wheelhouse.
3. Remove the splash shield (3) from the wheelhouse.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the splash shields (3) to the wheelhouse.

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

2. Install the bolt (2) in order to retain the splash shield (3) to the wheelhouse and tighten to 4 Nm (36 lb in).
3. Install the push pin retainers (1) in order to retain the splash shield (3) to the wheelhouse.
4. Install the front passenger side tire. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation   (See: Maintenance/Wheels and Tires/Service and Repair).
