Vacuum Reservoir HVAC: Service and Repair

Vacuum Tank Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Remove the primary battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (Primary)   (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Tray/Service and

Repair/Battery Tray Replacement (Primary)).

2. Disconnect the vacuum hose from the vacuum tank.
3. Remove the screws (1) from the vacuum tank retainers.
4. Remove the vacuum tank (3) from the battery tray.

Installation Procedure

1. Install the vacuum tank (3).

Caution:  Refer to Fastener Caution   (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).

2. Install the screws (1) to the vacuum tank retainers and tighten to6 Nm (53 lb in).
3. Connect the vacuum hose.
4. Install the primary battery tray. Refer to Battery Tray Replacement (Primary)   (See: Starting and Charging/Battery/Battery Tray/Service and

Repair/Battery Tray Replacement (Primary)).
