Water In Fuel Sensor: Service and Repair
Water-In-Fuel Draining Procedure
WATER-IN-FUEL DRAINING PROCEDURE
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Vehicle Lifting.
2. Attach a small piece of hose to the drain cock onto the water-in-fuel sensor.
3. Place an approved fuel-resistant container under the fuel filter.
4. Open the drain cock 3 or 4 turns or until the water contaminated fuel seeps from the drain cock.
5. Prime the fuel system until only diesel fuel is visible. Refer to Fuel System Priming.
6. Tighten the drain cock.
7. Remove the container and hose.
