Air Conditioning Accumulator Replacement

Removal Procedure

1. Recover the refrigerant from the A/C system. Refer to Refrigerant Recovery and Recharging   (See: Service and Repair/Refrigerant Recovery and

Recharging).

2. Remove the coolant reservoir. Refer to Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement   (See: Engine, Cooling and Exhaust/Cooling System/Coolant

Reservoir/Service and Repair/Coolant Recovery Reservoir Replacement).

3. Disconnect the electrical connector (2) from A/C low pressure sensor (1).
4. Remove the evaporator outlet pipe retaining nut (3) from the accumulator.

5. Remove the compressor suction hose retaining nut (1).
6. Remove the compressor suction hose from the accumulator.
