Savana 4500 V8-6.6L DSL Turbo (2009)
1. Remove the rear side door trim plate. Refer to Rear Door Trim Plate Replacement (See: ).
2. Remove the side door pull handle screws.
3. Remove the side door pull handle.
4. Use the J 38778 to disengage the retainers around the outside edges of the lower portion of the door trim panel (1)
5. Carefully pull the door trim panel (1) out of the retainers around the window opening.
A long flat bladed tool may be necessary to aid in releasing the door trim panel (1) from the window opening retainers.
6. Remove the door panel (1) from the vehicle.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the door trim panel (1) to the door by performing the following:

Align the door trim panel (1) to the retainers in the window opening.
*
Push towards the door to engage the retainers.
*
Align the retainers on the edges of the lower portion of the door trim (1).
*
Push towards the door to engage the retainers.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
2. Install the pull handle and screws and tighten to 1.9 Nm (17 lb in).
3. Install the rear side door trim plate. Refer to Rear Door Trim Plate Replacement (See: ).
