15. Remove the negative battery cable from the vehicle.
16. If replacing the negative battery cable, remove the battery current sensor. Refer to Battery Current Sensor Replacement (4.3L) Battery Current

Sensor Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L).

Installation Procedure

1. If the negative battery cable was replaced, install the battery current sensor. Refer to Battery Current Sensor Replacement (4.3L) Battery Current

Sensor Replacement (4.8L, 5.3L, 6.0L, and 6.2L).

2. Install the negative battery cable to the vehicle.
