Oil Pan Replacement (4WD)
Removal Procedure
1. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle .
2. For 1500 series vehicles, remove the oil pan skid plate bolts and skid plate, if equipped.
3. For 2500 series vehicles, loosen the 2 rear oil pan skid plate bolts, remove the 2 front oil pan skid plate bolts and skid plate, if equipped.
4. Remove the front differential carrier. Refer to Differential Carrier Assembly Replacement (1500 FWD) Differential Carrier Assembly
Replacement (2500 4WD) .
5. Unbolt the steering rack and hang downward.
