2. Apply a light coat of high temperature silicone brake lubricant to the brake caliper housing guide pin bores and guide pin surfaces:

Apply lubricant to the brake caliper guide pin shafts.
*
Apply lubricant to the brake caliper guide pin seats.
3. Prepare the brake caliper guide pin threads and the brake caliper bracket threaded holes for assembly:
*
Thoroughly clean the brake caliper guide pin threads of any threadlocker residue.
*
Thoroughly clean the brake caliper bracket guide pin threaded holes of any threadlocker residue with denatured alcohol and allow to dry.
4. Apply threadlocker GM P/N 89021297 (Canadian P/N 10953488) to the threads of the brake caliper guide pins.
5. Allow the threadlocker to cure approximately 10 minutes before assembly.
Note: The upper brake caliper guide pin is equipped with a bushing and must be installed in the same position.
6. Install the upper brake caliper guide pin (1), the lower brake caliper guide pin (2), and the brake caliper guide pin collars (3) to the brake caliper
bracket.
Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution (See: Service Precautions/Vehicle Damage Warnings/Fastener Caution).
7. Tighten the brake calliper guide pin bolts to 105 Nm (77 lb ft).
