Removal Procedure
1. Remove the transmission from the vehicle. Refer to Transmission Replacement (See: Service and Repair/Removal and Replacement/Allison -
Automatic Transmission/Transmission Replacement).
2. Install J 21366 to restrain the torque converter.
3. Install J 44723 . Refer to Holding Fixture Installation (See: Service and Repair/Overhaul/Allison - Automatic Transmission/1. Holding Fixture
Installation).
4. Position the transmission vertically with the torque converter end up.
5. Remove J 21366 torque converter retaining bracket.
