3. Remove the wheel hub extension (1).
1. Mark the relationship of the wheel hub extension to the wheel hub.
2. Insert a large drift or screwdriver through the brake caliper housing and into one of the brake rotor vanes to prevent the brake rotor from
turning.
3. Remove the 8 front wheel hub extension nuts.
4. Remove the front wheel hub extension. If necessary, tap around the perimeter of the wheel hub extension with a non-metallic mallet to separate
the extension from the wheel hub.
Note: Do not remove the brake caliper guide pins unless replacement is required.
5. Remove the brake caliper bracket bolts (1).
Caution: Support the brake caliper with heavy mechanic wire, or equivalent, whenever it is separated from its mount and the hydraulic
flexible brake hose is still connected. Failure to support the caliper in this manner will cause the flexible brake hose to bear the weight of the
caliper, which may cause damage to the brake hose and in turn may cause a brake fluid leak.
