Removal Procedure
1. Release the parking brake.
2. Disable the parking brake cable adjuster, if equipped. Refer to Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling (See: Parking Brake Cable/Service and
Repair/Procedures/Parking Brake Cable Adjuster Disabling).
3. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle (See: Maintenance/Vehicle Lifting/Service and Repair).
4. Drill a 3 mm (1/8 in) hole through the dimple in the intermediate parking brake cable connector where the front parking brake cable (1) is
connected.
5. Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the intermediate parking brake cable.
