Figure 2 - REPAIR OF TILT STEERING COLUMN NOISE OR SQUEAKS
REPAIR PROCEDURE
1.
Tilt steering wheel to full up position.
2.
Spray-lube GM-1052349 lubriplate lubricant grease (or equivalent) into the opening as shown in Figure No. 2, alongside the tilt lever, aiming at
the universal joint. Turn steering wheel one full turn while applying grease.
3.
Hold tilt release lever in moveable position and move steering wheel from full up to full down position 4 to 8 times.
4.
If squeak persists, repeat step 2.
