Front Coil Spring

1.
Raise front of vehicle and place jack stands under frame, allowing control arms to hang free.
2.
Disconnect shock absorber and stabilizer bar from lower control arm.
3.
Install tool J-23028 or similar tool onto a suitable jack, Fig.. 8, place jack under cross shaft so cross shaft seats in grooves of tool.
4.
Place a safety chain through coil spring and lower control arm, then raise jack, relieving tension from coil spring.
5.
Remove cross shaft to crossmember U-bolts, lower jack slowly and remove spring.
6.
Reverse procedure to install.
