five years from the date the vehicle was originally placed in service. The pump will be replaced at no charge to the owner. If the owner had previously
encountered a failed washer pump due to corrosion, the dealer is to reimburse the vehicle owner with proper documentation; original paid receipts or
invoices verifying expenses incurred for such repairs. The dealer in turn will submit a warranty claim to GMC Truck to pay for the owner's
reimbursement. This Bulletin contains a Special Policy and should be filed in the three-ring binder furnished each dealer by General Motors Corporation
in September, 1982.

1.
Remove cap and retainer from fluid reservoir.
2.
With notch of deflector hole positioned toward rear of vehicle, tuck deflector under the lip of the fender as shown in illustration.
NOTE:
Failure to install deflector as instructed, will not provide adequate moisture protection for pump.
3.
Slip hole in deflector over neck of reservoir, then reinstall retainer and cap.
