Installation Procedure

1. Clean and lubricate the Oil-ring on the oil filter cap (1) with clean 5W30 engine oil.
2. Install the NEW oil filter (2) on the filter cap (1).
3. Install the oil filter cap and filter. 

Caution:  Over torquing the oil filter cap may cause damage to the oil filter cap resulting in an oil leak.

Note:  DO NOT use an open end wrench on the hex on top of the oil filter cap.

4. Use an EN-4487 - Oil Filter Wrench to install and tighten the oil filter cap (1) until fully seated. DO NOT exceed 25 Nm (18 lb ft).
5. Fill the engine with oil. Refer to Fluid and Lubricant Recommendations (USA and Canada)   (See: ).
