14. Connect the existing EVAP hose to the T-fitting on the new 8 mm (5/16 in) hose.

Caution
Ensure that the 8 mm (5/16 in) hose (3) is tucked in over the park brake cable to prevent the hose from sagging over the fuel tank cutout area.

15. Secure the 8 mm (5/16 in) hose (3) to the parking brake line at the left (driver's) (A) and right (passenger' side) (B) fuel tank strap locations (9)

with two tie straps (8) as shown in the illustration.

16. Lower the vehicle.
17. Determine if the vehicle is equipped with a four or six cylinder engine.

If the vehicle is equipped with a four cylinder engine, no further action is required. Refer to the Claim section of the bulletin.

If the vehicle is equipped with a six cylinder engine, refer to ECM Programming Service Procedure in this bulletin.

ECM PROGRAMMING SERVICE PROCEDURE

Do not attempt to order the calibration number from GMSPO. The calibration numbers required for this service procedure are programmed into control
modules via a Multiple Diagnostic Interface (MDI) and TIS2WEB with the calibration update. Use TIS2WEB on or after 01/07/10 to obtain the
calibration. If you cannot access the calibration, call the Techline Customer Support Center and it will be provided. If programming stops prior to
completion, contact Engineering at 734-320-8123. Do NOT attempt to reprogram.
