SUPERSEDES GMC TRUCK SERVICE BULLETIN 88-T-30, ALL COPIES OF WHICH SHOULD BE DESTROYED.
Some vehicles equipped with 5.0L, 5.7L and 7.4L engines built with distributor, P/N 1103698, may exhibit a rough running engine condition, surge,
misfire and/or Code 43. This condition may be the result of oil ascending the distributor shaft and accumulating inside the distributor cap. If off is found
inside of the distributor cap, wipe the distributor cap, module and distributor base clean with a soft cloth and replace the distributor mainshaft assembly
with P/N 10467353 per service procedures in Section 6D4 of the appropriate Service Manual.
