About the Yukon
The Yukon, named after the Canadian territory, replaced GMC's full-size Jimmy for 1992 and is sold alongside the Chevrolet Tahoe. Since 1998 the luxury Yukon Denali has been GMC's flagship SUV, and the long-wheelbase version, the GMC Suburban, has been called the Yukon XL since 2000.
