Idler Pulley: Service and Repair
Drive Belt Idler Pulley Replacement
Removal Procedure
1. Loosen the drive belt idler pulley bolt.
2. Remove the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.
3. Remove the drive belt idler pulley.
Installation Procedure
1. Install the drive belt idler pulley and bolt to the generator bracket. Snug the bolt finger tight.
Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in Service Precautions.
2. Install the accessory drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement - Accessory.
Tighten the bolt to 50 Nm (37 ft. lbs.).
