Set the new base in place so the holes in it line up with the holes in the stem. Then secure the base to the stem with the retainer spring washer and
the lock screw. Torque the screw with a # 3 Phillips screwdriver bit and a 1/4" drive torque wrench to 70 lb.in. (8 N-m or 80 kg-cm.)

Reinstall the glass in the frame, then firmly snap the new trim piece into place around it. Any gap between the trim and the frame means the trim is
not all the way on; push harder on the trim until it snaps into place.
6.
Remove the original base from the car, then reinstall the mirror. Use the new mounting screws provided in the kit.
7.
Reinstall the cover.
