Voltage Regulator Test
2. Connect test circuits to regulator as shown.

Turn switches 1 and 2 off. Adjust variable resistor to 12 volts. Refer to function chart to diagnose.
4.
Turn switch 1 on and switch 2 off with switch 3 on. Adjust to 12 volts. Refer to function chart to diagnose.
5.
Turn switches 1, 2, and 3 on. Adjust variable resistor to 12 volts. Refer to function chart to diagnose.
6.
Adjust voltage to 16 volts with all 3 switches on. Refer to function chart to diagnose.
7.
This step is for Nippon Denso regulators only. Turn switches 1 and 2 on with switch 3 off. Refer to function chart to diagnose.
NOTE: Do not deviate from the above sequence, incorrect diagnosis may result. Perform the above steps quickly.
