Attach a hose to end of control valve.

Control Valve Pressure Test

3.

Submerge valve in a container of power steering fluid or solvent. Blow on the hose, if air bubbles leak through the valve, proceed with test.

4.

Clamp bottom end of valve in "soft jaw" vise.

Control/Relief Valve Assembly

5.

Unscrew seat in top end of valve. Remove shims (if used), relief check ball, relief valve and relief valve spring.

6.

Clean, dry and reassemble valve.

7.

Retest control valve. If air bubbles still leak through valve, replace control valve assembly.

NOTE: Relief pressure is adjusted at the factory by adding shims under the check ball seat. If there is shims in your valve, reinstall as they were
