Radiator: Service and Repair
REMOVAL
1.
Set the heater temperature control lever to maximum.
2.
When the radiator is cool, remove the cap and drain plug, and drain the radiator.
Radiator Attachments
3.
Remove the attaching bolts as illustrated, and remove the radiator.
INSTALLATION
1.
Install in reverse order of removal, remembering to install and tighten the drain plug.
Radiator Refilling And Bleeding

Loosen the air bleed bolt in the water outlet, then fill the radiator to the bottom of the filler neck with coolant mixture. Tighten the bleed bolt as
soon as coolant starts to run out of in a steady stream without bubbles.
3.
With the radiator cap off, start the engine and let it run until it is thoroughly warmed up (the fan goes on at least twice). If necessary, add coolant
mixture to bring the level up to the bottom of the filler neck.
4.
Put the radiator cap on and run the engine long enough to build pressure in the cooling system. Check for leaks.
