Reposition the Lift Motor Wiring Harness
SYMPTOM
The electrical seat height adjustment does not work.
PROBABLE CAUSE
The wiring harness for the lift motor may get caught in the bottom of the seat. Moving the seat back and forth causes the connector to separate.
VEHICLES AFFECTED
Japan-produced EX models:

CUSTOMER NOTIFICATION
Reposition the wiring harness.
Vehicles in Stock: Correct during Pre-Delivery Inspection.
Customer Vehicles: Correct when the vehicle comes in for its first service.
1.
Move the driver's seat fully back and up.
2.
Locate the wiring junction coupler C501 under the carpet flap. Remove the bolt mounting its bracket to the body.
3.
Verify that the lift motor harness connector (C504/C721) by the left seat track is connected.
4.
Position the portion of the harness coming out of the carpet and going to C504 behind the C501 wiring junction coupler.
