6.

Install the metal cover over the new temperature gauge by aligning the larger holes in the cover with the mounting screw bosses.

7.

Install the new temperature gauge into the gauge housing, and tighten the screws securely.

8.

Reinstall the gauge panel and meter visor onto the gauge housing.

9.

Reinstall the center illumination light socket and the trip meter reset knob.

10.

Reinstall the gauge assembly in the reverse order of removal. Refer to page 23-116 of the Service Manual.

11.

Turn the ignition switch on, and check for proper operation of the temperature gauge.
