"Clunk" Noise From the Door Glass
(Supersedes 94-024, dated August 29, 1994)

SYMPTOM

A "clunk" noise when you roll the window down.

PROBABLE CAUSE

Excessive movement of the door glass in the regulator mount. (The window mechanism is designed to allow some movement of the glass where the glass
holder mounts to the regulator.)

CORRECTIVE ACTION

[NEW] Replace the window glass mounting bolts. Adjust the door glass and the run channel.

Remove the door trim panel as described in steps 1 thru 9 on page 20-4 of the Service Manual Supplement.

[NEW] 2.

Lower the window fully. Replace the glass mounting bolts at the window regulator (see PARTS INFORMATION). Apply DC-111 grease to
the 0-rings on the mounting bolts before installing them.
